My personal perspective and training as a social worker allows me to be open to incorporating the supports that best serve my patients. I work with individuals struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, relationship dissatisfaction, isolation, and parenting issues. I have experience with and feel comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.  I work with individuals (15 years and older), families and couples.

AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), founded by Diana Fosha, is the approach that resonates most with me as a therapist.  This model of therapy is compelling to me because of the emphasis on thinking about attachment, the therapeutic relationship, and the capacity for the brain to change (based on research on neuroplasticity).  As a Level 2 AEDP trained therapist, I am dedicated to ongoing training and consultation using this model. I am also open to incorporating other therapeutic techniques as indicated, such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and crisis management.

I earned a Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and attended Skidmore College for my undergraduate studies, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  I completed a Clinical Fellowship in psychoanalytically-informed psychotherapy through the Minneapolis Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.
